Deborah Penta is the founder and Chairman of the Board of FLIC®: Female leadership Interest Council – an non profit organization founded to inspire leadership development and mentorship for women. Her professional career spans over 20 years in the marketing, advertising and public relations world, helping companies achieve greater results and get to the next level. She is most well recognized as the CEO of PENTA Communications, Inc., a growing New England based marketing and advertising firm that she founded in the late 1980’s. Through her position as CEO of PENTA, she has worked with a diverse group of CEOs, presidents and senior level management helping them strategize to grow their organizations.

Cathy Latham

Catherine Latham is a Human Resources Executive with over 20 years experience. Catherine joined AstraZeneca in 2004 as the Site Human Resource Director responsible for human resource programs and activities at the site. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Ms. Latham was Director of Human Resources for a small telecommunications company and has also worked in human resource roles for Genzyme, Putnam Investments and Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Catherine leads the Operations Women’s Network at the Westborough site. She received her B.A. from Lesley College in Cambridge, MA and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Leadership at Northeastern University.

Karyn Polito

Motivated by her commitment to public service and the ability to positively impact the quality of life for all residents, Karyn has recognized the serious need for allocating more money to go back to cities and towns, and for stronger public safety laws, which is evident in her agenda. In her four terms in office, Karyn has advocated for a safer Commonwealth by filing legislation in a number of key areas: establishing minimum mandatory sentencing for sex offenders, cracking down on drunk drivers, closing school registration loopholes for missing children, requiring defibrillators in public schools, and strengthening the experience requirements for young drivers.

Jill Dagilis was appointed as the new Executive Director of the Worcester Community Action Council in September, 2006. She comes to this exciting new position having served in Worcester’s municipal system with a focus on community development for over 25 years, most recently as the Commissioner of Health and Human Services. During her tenure with the City she served in various roles to include Commissioner of Code Enforcement, Staff Assistant for Operations to the City Manager, and Grants Acquisition Coordinator.
