Laura Housman is Director, Managed Markets for Genzyme in its genetic testing division headquartered in Westborough, Massachusetts.  Ms. Housman’s area of responsibilities include developing the divisional managed care strategic direction as well as leading a team of managed care sales and marketing experts in tactical programs and initiatives.

Ms. Housman has nearly 20 years experience in healthcare marketing, research and informatics.  Prior to joining Genzyme, Ms Housman held a variety of leadership positions in healthcare, managed care and consulting at BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts, InfoMedtrics and as a healthcare consultant to Ford Motor Company developing their first-ever clinical performance workstation to understand and manage healthcare costs and utilization.

Ms. Housman holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Business Administration from Boston University’s College of Arts and Sciences, a Master of Public Health degree with a Health Services concentration from Boston University’s School of Public Health and a Master of Business Administration with honors from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management.

She lives in Framingham, Massachusetts with her husband, daughter and Shih Tzu JoJo.
